Skating Skills Clinic

Welcome! My name is Lauren Antle. I am a former Team USA synchronized skater and an elite-level ice dancer. I am super excited to have you work with me! Here’s what you can expect we will work on during the two clinics offered this month.

These clinics will focus on skating skills relating to synchronized skating, as well as some ice dancing. We will start with the basics by strengthening our stroking, forward/backward crossovers, and cross-rolls. In addition, I will introduce the basics of ice dance, including forward/backward swing rolls, chassés, and progressives. In addition, I hope to teach a pre-preliminary patterned dance to adequately demonstrate what is expected when you want to begin testing for dance.

The great thing about ice dancing is its slight similarity to synchronized skating. Therefore, regarding synchronized skating skills, we will focus on tracking, step sequences, and some field moves.

Throughout the clinic, you’ll have the opportunity to skate with other skaters of your

level and even make some new friends. I aim to provide a fun and supportive environment where you can improve your skating skills. If anyone is interested in taking private lessons before or after either of the clinics, don't hesitate to contact me at (414) 202-5602.

A minimum of 3 skaters registered for each clinic date is required or the clinic will be cancelled. If the clinic is cancelled you will be notified by email and a full refund will be issued.
